Digicel Cup holiday program instills skills to school kids

first_imgThree grade seven girls all aged 14 from Bavaroko Primary school in the Port Moresby Sylvia Olewale, Bridgette Gegeyo and Delilah Sportly were part of the team which took part in the fun filled activities.The girls were excited when interviewed by Loop PNG saying they enjoyed the day out, getting to learn and develop rugby skills though it is a male dominated sport in PNG.Bridgette said, she was more thrilled when they were joined by the PNG Hunters players who taught them the basic rugby league skills.“I really enjoy the third sessions of the day when the Hunters players gave us the motivational talks on their sport lives and careers,”Adding that, they were amazed all throughout the sessions and hope that the program could run every term holidays for a period of three to four days.The girls even phrased Digicel PNG for hosting the event and their teachers for supervising them all throughout the day.Meanwhile, the program will also be also hosted in Lae and Kokopo on Wednesday July 13, respectively.last_img read more
